Combine advanced studies in marketing with a diverse range of courses in the complementary area of professional communication.
This program offers a balanced mix of theory, analysis and professional skills development. In marketing, you learn to design, develop, implement, and manage effective marketing strategies and to understand people and their buying patterns. Studies in applied research methods teach you to collect accurate information and analyse market potential. In the communication component, the focus is on developing advanced skills in public relations, with the opportunity to also study advertising, journalism and creative writing.

Program requirements
In order to graduate you must:
- Complete 30 required courses from the Faculty of Arts and Business, and 2 core courses.
- Complete a maximum of 5 introductory level courses from the School of Communication and School of Social Sciences.
- Complete no more than 192 units of introductory level courses in total, including core courses.
Program notes
- Completing this program within the specified (full-time) duration is based on studying 48 unit points per semester (normally 4 courses).
- Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods including essays, seminar presentations, reports, in-class tests and examinations. Not all courses will necessarily include all methods.
- As part of your USC program, you may apply to participate in the Global Opportunities (GO) Program to undertake courses with an overseas higher education provider. It is advisable to contact your Program Advisor to discuss timing and course issues.
