Library membership
Library membership is automatic for all UniSC students, which gives you access to both physical and online collections, all library spaces, and the support of library staff.
Your Student ID card is your library card so keep it with you whenever you are on campus.
Access to library buildings
Tap or swipe your Student ID card for after-hours access to library buildings and collections.
Visit Locations and hours for details about each campus library.
When on campus, use the SafeZone App to contact SafeUniSC, particularly after hours for an escort or assistance.
Course readings
Key resources have been selected by your Course Coordinator and added to Course Readings in your Canvas course.
A physical copy of the course text book may be kept in the Reserve Collection at your campus library. Learn how to find and access Course Readings.
Online and physical collections
Each library provides a physical General Collection of books and learning materials which support the courses delivered at that campus.
Search Discover to find books, ebooks and journal articles for your assessment tasks, and explore the library databases for high-quality discipline specific resources.
Borrowing from physical collections
Search for physical items (e.g. books) through the online catalogue and refine to books. Find the item on the shelf using the unique call number for that item, or request the item from your home campus or Sunshine Coast campus using our Hold service.
Use the self-check kiosk or the UniSC Library app on your own device to borrow items. Return items to any campus library by the due date. Note: Items from the Reserve Collection can only be returned to the campus from which you borrowed it.
My Library Account
Login to My Library Account to renew your loans and check the due date. You can also check the status of any requests you have made.
Visit Borrowing to learn more about how many items you can borrow, how long you can keep them and fines for late returns.
Library spaces
Take a self-guided tour of your campus library to learn about the individual, group and silent study spaces. Login to one of our PCs on campus or bring your own device and access Eduroam (free wifi).
Need a space for group work? Use our online bookings for the group study rooms. Some libraries can be accessed 24 hours by UniSC students.
Print / Scan / Copy
Use any printer on campus to print, scan and copy. Find out the location of printers at your campus, in the library and in other student spaces.
Use MyPrint to print from your own device and visit the self-help guide for instructions and help.
Need help?
UniSC students may contact the library via online chat, email, telephone, or visit the library help desk on campus during staffed hours.
UniSC librarians have developed Subject Guides as a starting point to find resources for study areas and assessment tasks.
The How to Guides provide guidance for searching and using library resources.
