Library membership

UniSC students and staff are automatically registered to borrow from UniSC Library. You will require your university ID card to borrow.

Non-UniSC clients in the following categories are eligible to register as members of UniSC Library and borrow from the General Collection:

Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loan

Honours, Postgraduate, HDR students and UniSC staff are eligible to place document delivery and inter-library requests. Limit of 10 requests per year applies for Honours students.

Off campus students

UniSC higher degree by research students who reside in Australia and outside of the Sunshine Coast region are eligible for a postal loans service.

Only material from the library General Collection is available for requesting by off-campus students. Short term loans and Reserve Collection may not be requested.

Use the Off-campus Request Form. Before making a request, please ensure that you have checked the Library Catalogue for the item you are requesting.

You will be notified via email if an item is unavailable or on loan to another client. A hold will be placed on item/s on loan and your request will be processed as soon as possible.

The UniSC Library will pay postage charges to send material. The requester is responsible for all charges incurred in returning the material to the Library.

  • Apply online for library membership (borrowing).
  • Alumni are eligible for remote access to selected Library databases for non-commercial purposes. Login using your UniSC network login (the same one you used as a student). Contact the Student IT Help Desk to reset your password if necessary.
  • Alumni are not eligible for the Reserve Collection, 3 Day Loans, hold request, digitisation request or inter-library loans.
