Clinical Services

A range of clinical services are offered at the Thompson Institute for the Sunshine Coast community.

USC Psychology Clinic

The USC Psychology Clinic provides psychological services to adults, adolescents and children aged six and over in a caring and supportive environment.

This service is free of charge.

The clinic uses a a range of evidence-based therapies that have been demonstrated, through research, to effectively reduce psychological difficulties or distress for most clients.

This is a training clinic for Master of Psychology (Clinical) and Master of Professional Psychology programs.

Consultant Psychiatrist

Until further notice Dr Adem Can is unable to accept any new referrals outside of clinical trials.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)

The Thompson Institute is not currently offering TMS treatment as a clinical service. This is being reviewed for possible introduction in 2022.

Our iHelp app and digital tool, connects people to mental health support on the Sunshine Coast. iHelp is an initiative of our Alliance for Suicide Prevention community-based education, engagement and research program
