The role of journalism is expanding as visual technologies are integrated into the media landscape. Journalists are often required to be fluent users of imaging technologies. This course is designed to give you an introduction to visual journalism. It will encourage you to recognise the value of photographs and video and help you gain essential skills in producing images and video suitable for journalistic storytelling. You will learn different styles, technical elements and presentation of images and introductory narrative and editing techniques for video.
