Online suicide alertness training

Learn to identify suicide risk and how to respond

Everyone can learn how to recognise when a person is at risk of suicide and respond.

  • Free for community members
  • Complete anytime anywhere, online
  • 90 minutes duration
  • Be ready to support someone when they need it

Who is eligible

  • People completing the training for non-work reasons (not on behalf of an employer)
  • Sunshine Coast residents

Free licenses are limited, and are therefore reserved for community members who will use the training in their personal lives or in a volunteer capacity.

If you wish to complete this training on behalf of your employer, please ask them to purchase licenses directly from LivingWorks ($39.95 each).

Start your training

We’ve purchased LivingWorks Start training licenses, to give to Sunshine Coast residents for free. Why? The evidence shows that suicide alertness training creates a suicide-safer Sunshine Coast.

  1. Firstly, please commit to completing the training, before you reserve a license. Numbers are limited.
  2. Click the link below to register. You will immediately receive an email with instructions on how to use the LivingWorks Learn system.
  3. There are a few simple steps to follow to start your training. This is because we’ve purchased training licenses from LivingWorks on behalf of community members. It should only take a couple of minutes to get started.

If you don’t receive your emailed instructions, please check your junk and spam folders, then contact us at suicideprevention@usc.edu.au
