The Jocelyn and Vic Walker Legacy Scholarship supports school leavers with demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to make a positive impact in the community. The scholarship provides financial assistance to encourage students who reside in the Sunshine Coast to undertake their undergraduate studies at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Vic Walker, founder of the Moby Vic’s service stations, was a strong believer of the Sunshine Coast community and Jocelyn has been a very vocal advocate for University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) since its opening. She has been a member of the UniSC Foundation Board for over 25 years contributing much to the University’s success as an anchor of prosperity in our community. Jocelyn established the Vic Walker Memorial Scholarship in 1999 to support Immanuel Lutheran College students studying at UniSC. The Jocelyn and Vic Walker Legacy replaces the previous scholarship enabling all Sunshine Coast school leavers to be supported in their choice to attend UniSC.
One scholarship will be awarded every second year starting 2023.
The Scholarships are paid in instalments of A$2,500 per semester for the normal duration of the program.
A$5,000 per annum for up to 6 semesters for a 3 year program up to a maximum of A$15,000
A$5,000 per annum for up to 8 semesters for a 4 or 5 year program up to a maximum of A$20,000
