Noosa Community Foundation Bursary

Scholarship applications for Semester 1, 2025 are now open and close on 3 December 2024 (extended).

Please be aware you may not be able to access the scholarship application form from 30 November to the morning of 2 December 2024 due to system maintenance.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by close of business, 28 February 2025.

The Noosa Community Foundation (NCF) Bursaries will support Noosa-based students with financial need and enrolled in any undergraduate program at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Bursary payments will be made approximately three weeks after Census Date, once enrolment has been confirmed.

Please Note:  The number of bursaries available in each semester varies and this bursary is offered on a semesterly basis through funds provided by an external donor. If funding is not available in any given semester, the bursary will not be awarded.

Eligibility
  • full-time 2nd year student in any undergraduate program at UniSC
  • successfully completed a minimum of 96 units
  • resident of the Noosa shire
  • Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Permanent Australian Humanitarian Visa holder or Permanent Resident of Australia
Selection criteria
  • financial need
  • hours worked in paid employment or commitment to activities that impact on the time available for the student to study (e.g. compulsory fieldwork placement, significant carer responsibilities)
  • preference will be given to previous recipients of the Noosa Community Foundation Bursary in subsequent semesters, subject to continued eligibility
  • consideration will be given to applicants expressing interest in working within the Noosa shire community post-graduation
