GWQ SC shall donate funds each year to support one female on (or previously on) a humanitarian visa.
Graduate Women Queensland Inc Sunshine Coast Branch (GWQ SC) aim to promote the advancement of women through education and provide significant and long-standing support for UniSC students through a range of bursaries.
Student recipients will receive the bursary funds as a lump sum following enrolment checks after Census date in the relevant semester.
Please note: This bursary is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor. If funding is not available in any given year, the bursary will not be awarded.
- Eligibility
- female student enrolled at UniSC Sunshine Coast campus in any undergraduate program
- full-time or part-time students (minimum 50% enrolment load)
- minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0
- successful completion of minimum 24 units
- current holder or previous holder of one of the following Australian visas:

- Permanent Humanitarian Visa
- Protection Visa (subclass 866)
- Refugee Visa (subclass 200, 201, 203, 204)
- Global Special Humanitarian Visa (subclass 202)
- Resolution of Status Visa (subclass 851)
- Selection criteria
- financial need
- hours worked in paid employment or commitment to activities that impact on the time available for the student to study (e.g. compulsory fieldwork placement, significant carer responsibilities)
- academic merit
