Buranga Centre Continuing Headstart Scholarship

Scholarship applications for Semester 1, 2025 are now open and close on 3 December 2024 (extended).

Please be aware you may not be able to access the scholarship application form from 30 November to the morning of 2 December 2024 due to system maintenance.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by close of business, 28 February 2025.

The Buranga Centre Continuing Headstart Scholarship will assist students who have successfully completed a Headstart unit in Year 12 and enrol directly into an undergraduate program for Semester 1, 2025.

These scholarships are for Indigenous undergraduate students enrolled in a Commonwealth-supported program at UniSC and will be available subject to funding from the federal government.

The Buranga Centre Continuing Headstart Scholarship assists Indigenous students to meet the costs associated with tertiary study.

Recipients will receive $1,000 in Semester 1, 2025. Payment will be made as a lump sum approximately 3 weeks after the census date.

Eligibility
  • identifying as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • enrolled full-time in any undergraduate program at UniSC (or part-time, where there are exceptional circumstances preventing full-time enrolment)
  • successfully completed a Headstart unit in Year 12 and enrol directly into an undergraduate program for Semester 1, 2025
