Thinking about university or TAFE study? UniSC offers free support to equip adults, like you, with the information, confidence and tools you need to select, start and succeed in study.
What is Equip?
UniSC Equip is a free, government-funded program for adults who are considering starting a TAFE or uni qualification. We offer a selection of short workshops and one-on-one phone consultations to help people gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to select, start, and succeed with their study goals.
Who can participate in Equip?
- Aged 18+
- People thinking of starting study (VET or any uni)
- Not a current university student
- An Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Humanitarian Visa Holder
- Living in one of the following areas: Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Gympie, Fraser Coast, Wide Bay and South Burnett

Returning to study
Thinking of starting some study, but feeling a bit unsure? This workshop is your perfect starting point. Get all the essential info and resources you need to confidently embark on your educational journey (any TAFE or uni qualification). Hear firsthand from a current student and gather valuable insights to plan your next steps.
You'll learn about:
- Pathways and entry requirements: Find the best route to your desired study area
- Costs and financial support: Learn about options to ease any financial concerns
- Balancing study and life: Tips and tricks to manage your time effectively
- Support services: Access the help you need to succeed

UniSC's experienced staff can deliver one or more free Equip program workshops in your organisation or community group.
Groups must have ten or more registered participants and be located in the following areas:
- Fraser Coast and Wide Bay
- Gympie
- Sunshine Coast and Noosa
- Moreton Bay
