After more than a decade as a FIFO worker in the coal and gas industries, Luke Costello realised he could – and would – completely change his life’s direction. Now in his second year into a Bachelor of Psychology with honours at UniSC Moreton Bay, Luke’s determined to try and understand what makes people tick.
While undertaking a Bachelor of Social Work/Bachelor of Criminology at UniSC, Kayley had the opportunity to complete a placement at Headspace. Now, she works as a senior case manager at Queensland Corrective Services, helping her clients on a daily basis.

I became fascinated by psychological research during my recovery from my own lived experience of mental illness. I've been really interested in many of the different areas of psychology that I’ve been studying and I have a strong passion for research, but I’m keeping an open mind about where my study takes me.
