Program overview

The Bachelor of Business (International Business) develops the specialised skills and knowledge required to conduct business across borders and cultures.

Graduates of the program have a solid foundation in all areas of business, as well as advanced international business skills that can be tailored to employment in small, medium or large organisations.

Courses focus on issues in international business, cross-cultural differences and their impact on business, politics and government relations, international diplomacy and trade, e-business and international finance.

You also undertake applied business projects with real businesses, where you will develop an international marketing strategy or assess a businesses’ export readiness. Other projects may include the opportunity to travel overseas to identify local distributors for business products and services.

Elective courses in complementary areas, including tourism and languages, allow you to tailor the program to meet your interests and career goals. Elective courses may include a four-course minor.

You can apply to undertake first-year courses in this program at the USC Noosa Centre. Please note that the option to study at Noosa is not available to international students.

Professional recognition

Students and graduates can apply for membership of the Australian Institute of Export, the Australian Institute of Management and the Academy of International Business.
