Student Handbook, Semester 1, 2010: Journalism

Major

For a major in Journalism, students must successfully complete 8 courses:

CMN130 Functional Anatomy
CMN213 Biomechanics I
CMN214 Exercise Prescription and Programming
CMN227 Introduction to Sports Medicine
CMN228 Sport and Exercise Psychology
CMN235 Motor Control and Learning
CMN237 Applied Research Methods
CMN272 Accounting for Business

Students are required to apply to be accepted to undertake a journalism major. The prerequisite for a journalism major is CMN102 (or CMN100 ) plus INT140 . In addition, students will be required to attend a selection interview. Acceptance into a Journalism major may not be confirmed to students until the end of their second year of full-time study or equivalent. Students not accepted to undertake a Journalism major, may be eligible for a Communication Studies major.
