This course will focus on the planning and provision of infrastructure in the strategic planning context. You will consider the principles, complexities and processes necessary for delivering various types of necessary physical and social infrastructures. You will consider the relationship between influences like population and employment growth and the correlation between the demand and provision of infrastructure. The criticality of planning for infrastructure will be explored including the impacts of limited infrastructure planning on achieving smart and sustainable communities.
