Alex has more than 25 years’ experience in the Australian and New Zealand wine sectors in roles spanning vineyard operations, grape supply management, irrigation and grape quality research, research management and grower education.

He is currently Senior R&D Program Manager with Wine Australia where he works with wine and grape producers to identify and invest in projects of importance to the sector.

Alex has previously held roles as Chief Viticulturist for Accolade Wines/Constellation Wines/BRL Hardys Limited, Viticulturist at The Australian Wine Research Institute/CSIRO and as Adviser (Winegrapes) with Department of Agriculture WA. In his spare time, he oversees the management of a vineyard in McLaren Vale, SA.
