MindSET-do
We believe STEM learning should be accessible to everyone. We give school students the opportunity to use technology, problem-solve and explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). By developing student, teacher, parent, and community confidence, knowledge and skills we're promoting diversity and inclusivity in STEM.

This program highlights pathways available to support students to realise their ambitions, with a focus on raising aspirations.
Explore Program
For years 4, 5 and 6
Explore encourages primary school students to broaden their career aspirations through guided lesson plans, a career expo and career-themed competitions for art and creative writing.

Emerge Program
For years 7-10
Emerge supports high school students to develop a vision for their future. Students are encouraged to research careers of interest, identify their values and develop a growth mindset. Year level themes build and have direct links to the curriculum with customisable resources provided.

Sunshine Coast Schools Mooting Competition
Mooting gives Legal Studies students an opportunity to consider a legal problem, prepare written submissions and then use their oral presentation skills to present arguments before a judge or judges.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Engagement
UniSC offers meaningful programs for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to connect to country and culture, and explore future pathways.
Programs are facilitated by traditional custodians and UniSC's Buranga Centre staff.
- Murri Futures — a group program for Years 10-12
- Boys-to-men — a six-week program for boys in Years 7-12
- Buranga Camps — for high school students
- Homework groups — for years 7-12

Sport for Thought uses sport to promote social and personal capabilities and raise aspirations to participate in higher education. This is a joint initiative of UniSC and the Australian Government Department of Education’s Higher Education Partnerships Program.
