Distinguished Companion (September 2020)
Mark Bradley was named a Distinguished Companion in September 2020 in recognition of his significant contributions to USC as Director of Capital and Commercial since January 1995 until to date.
Mark Bradley has significantly contributed to the University as Director of Capital and Commercial from January 1995 until March 2020. Mark commenced as Building Officer in January 1995 and was responsible “to direct and control the activities of contractors and works staff to ensure minor works and maintenance of Sunshine Coast University College physical facilities were effectively performed” to prepare for the first students who commenced in 1996. Mark went on to manage all property services as the University grew from one campus with 608 students and 86 staff in Sippy Downs to 1077 staff and 16,594 students at USC’s multiple campuses today. Mark’s portfolio included Venues and Catering, all retail, the management of Dilli Village at Fraser Island and the development of significant infrastructure on this world heritage listed site; and the growth of USC Sport which has hosted international and national sporting teams and is home to the Sunshine Coast Lightning netball team. In addition, Mark was the Yeomen Bedell for multiple graduation ceremonies.
