Honorary Senior Fellow (April 2000)
Jill Morris was named an Honorary Senior Fellow in April 2000 in recognition of her sustained and distinguished contribution to the university and community.
Ms Jill Morris is a multi-award winning author and publisher. She is the Director of the Maleny-based children's publishing house, 'Greater Glider Productions'. She is also the founder of the Book Farm, a unique concept in literary, educational and environmental tourism that attracts hundreds of visitors every year, most of whom are enthralled by that experience. Ms Morris was a member of the University's original Planning Committee from 1993 and was subsequently appointed to the University's first and second Councils, on which she provided invaluable support for our initial developments. She is a Churchill Fellow and has served on the Australia Council's Literature Board, the Advisory Committee for Film Queensland and Arts Training Queensland. She has a high community profile and has been a strong supporter of the University.
