Honorary Senior Fellow (September 2023)
In recognition of significant contributions to UniSC through the establishment of the Engineering Scholarship, Founding and Visionary member of The 1996 Society, Founders Circle member and Chancellor's Associate, Graham Tamblyn is a worthy recipient of Senior Fellow of the University.
Graham’s valued contribution to UniSC has assisted UniSC’s vision to become Australia’s premier regional university, by using his influence in multiple sectors across the Sunshine Coast and greater region.
Graham is an advocate for equitable access to education, particularly within the regional setting.
Using his civil engineering background, he champions environmentally sustainable principles and practices, contributing to regional development and infrastructure development.
Graham has been the Chair of UniSC Foundation Board since 2014. He is a Visionary member of The 1996 Society commencing as a Founding member in 2017. Graham is a Chancellor’s Associate and a member of UniSC’s Founders Circle, donors who have made gifts to the University totalling over $50,000.
With his background in Engineering, Graham established an annual Engineering Scholarship for third year Civil Engineering students at UniSC in 2010 through until 2019 upon his retirement.
Graham has had many significant regional ties including Advisory Committee Member of the LifeFlight Sunshine Coast and South Burnett, served as Sunshine Coast Branch President of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (QLD) and was awarded Life Membership, served as Deputy Chairman, Chairman, Managing Director and Director of Cardno Limited over a period of 46 years and member of the Buderim Foundation Governance and Risk Committee.
Graham continues to make a significant and lasting impact on UniSC’s students directly and indirectly, impacting not only the Sunshine Coast, but across the region.
