Honorary Senior Fellow (April 2017)
Emeritus Professor Rustum Sethna and Mrs Helen Sethna were named Honorary Senior Fellows in recognition of their significant contribution to the University and wider community, over the past three decades, in the areas of Health and Psychology and, particularly, their support of USC's psychology program.
Dr Rustum and Helen Sethna have made significant contributions over the past two decades through their support of the University and its wider community.
Having retired on the Sunshine Coast, the Sethna’s have continued to pursue their passions for education and community art accessibility through their relationship with USC. When the Sethna’s learned of USC’s new psychology program, they immediately offered philanthropic support. This was their first gift to the university, and since then have continued to support USC and the local community.
As founding members of the USC 1996 Society, the Sethna’s also give their time to the Caloundra Regional Gallery, Events Centre Caloundra and Caloundra Chorale and Theatre Co. Helen has been a long-term member of the Friends of the Caloundra Regional Gallery Incorporation and volunteered there for many years. Through their association with these organisations and the USC Art Gallery, the Sethna’s have actively promoted art and education to their peer group and the wider community.
