Bill Bailey is highly regarded and has a distinguished international reputation. He is a multi-award-winning British comedian, songwriter, musician, actor, presenter and animal welfare campaigner. His extensive career includes international stand-up comedy tours, performing on television, film and radio. Bill is renowned for his sharp intellect and unique take on life. Bill has the ability to bring social issues and discuss current events within a hilarious comic format and has an incredible talent for engaging a large audience in a seemingly relaxed and unselfconscious manner. Bill has utilised his public profile as a highly successful comedian to raise awareness of issues in conservation and environmental sustainability, particularly in Southeast Asia and Indonesia. Bill’s effort contributes directly to the conservation of our planet and serves as a model for present and future generations. In 2014, Bill was involved as concept-originator, scriptwriter and presenter for two documentaries to be screened by the BBC later that year in which Bill documents the life and travels of Alfred Russell Wallace. Bill talked about his own voyage of discovery on the trail of this forgotten naturalist. He has been recognised with many accolades and awards as a comedian and a conservationist including the James Joyce Award, Best Live Stand Up at British Comedy Awards and the Golden Arrow Award.
