Brand refresh

Have you noticed?

You may have noticed something a little different about us?

Something we’re quite excited about!

In 2021 we launched a fresh strategic direction to better reflect the world-class university we have become, a place where ground-breaking education and research is happening, every single day.

As part of this new strategic direction, we have reviewed our brand to ensure the way we look and sound is in line with our future focus - to position USC as a university that, while regionally based, is globally relevant.

The result of this review has led to a few changes.

Well, what’s changing?

Visually, we’ve built on our current brand. We are modernising our logo and moving to a brand that puts digital first while injecting a little sunshine across our brand.

We are still (proudly) the University of the Sunshine Coast. But our acronym is changing to ‘UniSC’ to clearly highlight we are a university, which is an important message to share with communities beyond the Sunshine Coast. It also sets us apart from other Australian and international universities, who have the same or similar acronyms to ‘USC’.

When’s the change?

We’ve already started to change, but you won’t see the entire transformation overnight. Our updated brand will be phased in over the next 12-18 months and during this time, the current and new brands will co-exist until the transition is complete.

We prepared a video to introduce the refreshed brand to our staff. We’d like to share it with you too. Because, hey, sharing is caring.

We hope you enjoy seeing more of our new brand as time goes on. We designed it to reflect the excellent work and reputation of our community, staff, alumni and student body, and can’t wait to see how we continue to grow together.
