Max McKenzie

Max began volunteering with the USC Spartans Swimming Program in 2016 after completing his student placement with the club during the final year of his Bachelor of Sport Science degree. Currently, Max is a Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Queensland Academy of Sport, working predominantly with Olympic and Paralympic swimmers. Since 2018, he has been selected as a PPC coach for the Australian Dolphins Paralympic Swimming Team.

In 2024, Max completed his PhD at UniSC which investigated land-based warmup interventions in elite swimmers. This project was funded by UniSC, the Queensland Academy of Sport and Swimming Australia.
