Christo is qualified as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA, ACMA), a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), and is also a qualified Professional Internal Auditor (PIA).
He has 27 years’ experience in financial management, accounting and the audit side of business which includes 10 years of Public Accounting experience. He is skilled in leading financial departments and project teams under various circumstances, entity types, as well as had the opportunity to work in multiple countries with various cultures, which include Southern Africa, East Timor, Australia, and the Philippines.
Christo ensures the accurate and timely reporting of the University's financial transactions and proactively delivers value-added financial and business services to internal and external stakeholders. This includes the preparation and delivery of the annual Financial Statements, management reporting, asset management and insurance, and investments. He does this whilst ensuring best practice and compliance of standards and systems in accordance with professional accounting standards, to fulfil the University's statutory reporting requirements.
