A/Prof Seeseei Molimau-Samasoni is an adjunct researcher at UniSC’s Australian Centre for Pacific Islands Research (ACPIR), and is currently based at the Scientific Research Organisation of Samoa. She is a researcher in Postharvest Horticulture and Natural Products. Her research focuses on postharvest technologies of tropical agricultural produce such as taro and breadfruit, their market access and biosecurity treatment, and food losses in local markets and value chains. A/Prof Molimau-Samasoni is also a researcher on screening biological activity of Samoan traditional medicine (medicinal plants), Samoan plants, soil microbiota, marine microbiota and marine organisms.
Seeseei is the lead researcher on the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) project, Adopting a gender-inclusive participatory approach to reducing horticultural food loss in the Pacific.
