Uni pathways

There are many ways to get started at uni. If you're exploring a career change, or haven't studied in a while, USC offers a range of study options that can help you build your skills and confidence and make a start on your goals. This includes the Tertiary Preparation Pathway, a bridging course to help you brush up on your study skills and gain entry to a degree.

You can start studying from home, or back on campus as soon as it's safe. Applications for Semester 2 are open now.

Online short courses

The Australian Government is providing support for people to retrain or upskill during COVID-19. As part of this initiative, USC is offering a range of online short courses in 2020 at significantly discounted rates, allowing eligible domestic students to build skills and knowledge in areas of national priority.

To be eligible for the discounted rates, you must commence study in Study Period 2 (June/July) 2020 and complete by no later than December 2020. You must be enrolled full-time (four courses) for the duration of the semester. Students whose study duration extends past December 2020 will not be eligible for the discounted rates for any study after this date. Students who enrol in fewer than four courses in Study Period 2, 2020 will also not be eligible for the discounted rates.

Eligible students are able to defer payment through HECS‑HELP.
