This course introduces you to the foundational aspects of writing stories for the screen, with an emphasis on the fundamentals of cinematic storytelling and dramatic form. You will explore the basic elements of story development for filmmaking, from the premise of an idea, to character, conflict, dramatic structure and dialogue. You will also explore key filmic considerations such as form, genre, adaptation, shot and sound design, point of view and setting.
