Emma Jensen works across two roles at USC, as Strategic Projects Officer (USC’s Thompson Institute) and Research Funding Support Officer (Office of Research).

As Strategic Projects Officer, Emma manages the coordination and delivery of the Alliance for Suicide Prevention – Sunshine Coast activities and the Institute’s organisational mental health training. Emma’s key responsibilities involve developing and implementing effective project management plans, conducting project scoping desktop research and analysis, and establishing strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders.

At the Office of Research, Emma’s key responsibilities include providing support in all aspects of the pre-award administration of research grants, providing strategic advice to the research community, and identifying and disseminating health-focused externally funded research opportunities.

Emma joined USC in 2018, as a Research Assistant in the Thompson Institute’s first clinical trial. She has a strong background in administrative support roles. Emma holds a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours), a Graduate Certificate in Project Management, and is undertaking further postgraduate project management studies.
