Dr Jo Loth

Jo is a performance maker and educator, and the program coordinator of the BCI (Theatre and Performance). She has worked as an actor, director, writer and cabaret performer. She created and performed cabaret shows for The Brisbane Cabaret Festival, The Brisbane Festival, and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has directed for Burning Deck Theatre (La Mama Theatre, Melbourne), The Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble, QUT and USC. Jo has trained with: Kristin Linklater, the Suzuki Company of Toga, Howard Fine, and Shakespeare & Company. Initiative (London) and the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble. She has completed a PhD in cabaret performance and an MA on applications of the Suzuki method.
