Potential Research Projects for HDR and Honours Students
  • Caregivers of the Infirm elderly with end-stage kidney disease; the Co-Timely study. Funded by Wishlist in collaboration with SCHHS and The George Institute.
  • An increasing number of elderly patients are reaching end-stage kidney disease (ESKD). Some of these patients will choose to be managed conservatively and others by dialysis. Co-TIMELY will identify caregivers of elderly patients with ESKD being managed with conservative care and will examine caregiver experience. The study will involve qualitative interviews with up to 20 caregivers and be analysed as part of this project. This project has ethics approval and is recruiting at SCUH.
