Dr Alexandra Bec is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow with Advance Queensland, where she is currently managing the project, ‘Stimulating Regional Tourism through the Virtual Reconstruction of Queensland’s WWII Heritage’. Alexandra is also appointed as a Post-doctoral Researcher for the Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research, where she is working on ‘Entrepreneurship in the Australian mining industry’. Outside of her research pursuits, Alexandra has also taught in the School of Business and Tourism and the School of Arts and Social Sciences, at Southern Cross University. Her fields of teaching have included qualitative research methods, community development, organisational communication, sustainable tourism and tourism and hospitality. Between 2015  and 2016, Alexandra was a Research Officer, Commonwealth Games, with the Gold Coast Tourism Corporation, where she researched potential avenues that could be targeted to strengthen the 2018 Commonwealth Games Legacy strategy.
