Want to make a difference in people’s lives? Begin your career with the foundational knowledge you’ll need for future studies in counselling, psychology, social work, human services or community health.

Learn how people think and behave and how to relate to different communities, including children, families, Indigenous Australians and older people. You’ll also learn about the importance of ethics and social justice, and start to build the practical skills you’ll need to interact with clients in the workplace.

On successful completion of the Diploma in Social and Human Services, you will receive direct entry and 96 units of credit towards your choice of the following degrees:

  • Most courses are valued at 12 units unless otherwise specified

Domestic students 

Apply via Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) — Use the relevant QTAC code specified on Why study this program?

Exceptions

The below applicants can apply online directly to USC:

  • Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP) student currently enrolled in, or have had an enrolment in the previous two years;
  • Former USC student who has been excluded from study at USC.
