This course introduces you to the domains of social work and human services and the various concepts and frameworks that practitioners use to understand and support individuals, groups and communities within their social contexts. The wide variety of practice roles, fields and contexts within social work and human services are examined, unified by an emphasis on appreciating the purpose and core values underpinning practice. This course aims to provide an overview of the breadth of social work and human services practice within contemporary Australian society.
