Still time to apply to study at USC Gympie

The Gympie campus of USC is going from strength to strength, with enrolments expected to exceed 200 students this year.

Thirty-two offers to begin degrees at USC Gympie were sent out by QTAC (Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre) yesterday.

USC Gympie Manager Graham Young said enrolments that flow from these offers will help push the student population on campus to 200-220 by the time Semester 1 starts on Monday 2 March.

Mr Young said the strongest interest from new students had been in the established programs of Nursing Science, Education and Business.

“We have also extended our course offerings by including the first-year subjects from a range of programs in the Social Sciences/Social Welfare area, including Psychology, and interest in these programs has been high,” he said.

“There was strong enrolment in our Tertiary Preparation Pathway classes over the summer break, and a number of these students will be enrolling in undergraduate programs once their final results are available.

“It is not too late to apply for entry into USC for Semester 1, 2015, and we would strongly encourage anyone thinking of doing so to come and chat to us about their options.”
