Acclaimed actor Rachael Maza to visit USC

University of the Sunshine Coast students and staff will have the opportunity to meet one of the country’s top actors and arts makers on Tuesday 26 April.

Rachael Maza, who has starred in outstanding film, television and theatre productions as well as worked behind the scenes, will discuss the current state of the Australian industry when she gives a talk at the USC Innovation Centre Auditorium on campus at Sippy Downs.

The award-winning actor and current artistic director of Ilbijerri Theatre Company (Victoria) will be interviewed by USC Lecturer in Drama Dr Natasha Budd from 2pm. The talk is only open to USC students and staff.

Ms Maza’s film and TV credits range from director Rachel Perkins’ movie Radiance and Cosi with Toni Collette to Rush, Marshall Law, Halifax f.p. and Stingers.

USC Lecturer in Drama Dr Jo Loth said USC students interested in any form of the arts, from Drama to Creative Writing, would benefit from the presentation.

Ms Maza’s visit to USC is hosted by The Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance’s Juice & Jam sessions.
