Emeritus Professor (April 2018)
Professor Rod McCulloch was named an Emeritus Professor in April 2018 in recognition of his services to USC as Head of School, Communication and Creative Industries.
Professor McCulloch commenced at USC in January 2011 as Head of School of Communication and Creative Industries.
During his time at USC, Professor McCulloch rendered sustained and distinguished service to the University through his leadership in learning and teaching, research and engagement. His philosophy that “the world is a classroom” was evident in his introduction of international study tours and embedding of work integrated learning, which has enabled many USC students to experience world’s best practice.
Across his academic career, Professor McCulloch secured external national and international recognition including an Australian Awards for University Teaching Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, the International Advertising Association International Medal of Merit, and appointment as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
