How to use MyPrint for the first time
USC students

Log in to MyPrint using your USC username and password. When you log in for the very first time, you simply create your MyPrint account.

  • Add credit to your MyPrint account, before you can print or photocopy.
  • Setup a 4-digit PIN to secure your MyPrint account.
  • You will need to know your USC Student ID number and 4 digit pin to login to a printer.
Guests of USC

Create a Guest Account to access the MyPrint website and self-serve copying and printing facilities.

  • To create a Guest Account you will need a valid email address. MyPrint will communicate with you via this email address.
  • Refer to Create a Guest Account for full instructions.

Note: If you would like to close your account please email printservices@usc.edu.au. Refunds are available for values above $10.

Guest accounts are active for 24 months.

How to print
Print from a USC computer

Printing from a USC computer allows you to change how your file will print. You can adjust the print properties to 1 or 2 sided; reduce or enlarge; change the print orientation; layout multiple pages per sheet, plus much more.

  1. Log on to a student PC, with your USC username and password.
  2. Open your document and press 'Print'.
  3. Select one of the following printer drivers:-
    • Black on wsp-printsvr01
    • Colour on wsp-printsvr01
  4. Select 'Print Properties' to adjust how your file will print
  5. Press 'Print'
  6. Your file will be waiting at a printer ready for release*. Go to any self-serve printer and login with your ID number and enter/create your 4 digit PIN.

*MyPrint files will be available for 24 hours, or until you print or delete them.

NOTE: You must have credit on your MyPrint account (SSAF credit or credit you have added via MyPrint), to be able to print.

WebPrint - Print from your own device

To print via WebPrint, your files must be print-ready in the format and size that you need to be printed.

If you need to change the print properties of your print file, please Print from a USC computer, as per the instructions above.

How To:

The print drivers at USC are defaulted to print A4, portrait, double sided.

How to Print from a USC Computer
  1. Log on to a student PC, with your USC username and password.
  2. Open your document/s and select 'File' and then 'Print'.
  3. Select one of the following printer drivers:-
    • Black on wsp-printsvr01
    • Colour on wsp-printsvr01
  4. Press 'Print'
  5. Your file will be waiting at a printer ready for release.

NOTE:  MyPrint files will be available for 24 hours, or until you print or delete them.

How to Print single sided
Print A4, portrait, single sided
  1. Log on to a student PC, with your USC username and password.
  2. Open your document and select 'File' and then 'Print'.
  3. Select one of the following printer drivers:-
    • Black on wsp-printsvr01
    • Colour on wsp-printsvr01
  4. Click on 'Printer Properties' or 'Properties'.
  5. Select the A4 - Black 1 Side from the 'One Click Preset List'
  6. Click ‘Print’.
  7. Your file will be waiting at a printer ready for release.

NOTE:  MyPrint files will be available for 24 hours, or until you print or delete them.

Print single sided with other print options
  1. Log on to a student PC, with your USC username and password.
  2. Open your document and select 'File' and then 'Print'.
  3. Select one of the following printer drivers:-
    • Black on wsp-printsvr01
    • Colour on wsp-printsvr01
  4. Click on 'Printer Properties' or 'Properties'.
  5. Choose your preferred print options.
    • For single sided printing, click on the '2 Sided' dropdown and select Off.
  6. Click ‘Print’.
  7. Your file will be waiting at a printer ready for release.

NOTE:  MyPrint files will be available for 24 hours, or until you print or delete them.

How to Print on A3
  1. Log on to a student PC, with your USC username and password.
  2. Open your document and select 'File' and then 'Print'.
  3. Select one of the following printer drivers:-
    • Black on wsp-printsvr01
    • Colour on wsp-printsvr01
  4. Click on 'Printer Properties' or 'Properties'.
  5. Click on the 'Detailed Settings' tab.
  6. Change the 'Document Size' to A3.
  7. Change 'Reduce/Enlarge' to Fit to Print Size​.
  8. Change 'Print On' to A3.
  9. Click ‘Print’.
  10. Your file will be waiting at a printer ready for release.

NOTE:  MyPrint files will be available for 24 hours, or until you print or delete them.

Microsoft Word issue

If you are following the above steps, and your file is still printing in A4, check your 'Page Setup':

  1. Select 'File' and then 'Print'.
  2. Click on 'Page Setup'.
  3. Click on the 2nd tab 'Paper'.
  4. Set the 'Paper Size' to A3.
How to Print multiple PowerPoint slides per page
  1. Log on to a student PC, with your USC username and password.
  2. Open your Powerpoint document and select 'File' and then 'Print'.
  3. Select one of the following printer drivers:-
    • Black on wsp-printsvr01
    • Colour on wsp-printsvr01
  4. Click on the ‘Full Page Slides’ drop down box under 'SETTINGS'.
  5. Click on how many slides per page you would like.
  6. Click ‘Print’ (the printer icon at the top of the screen).
  7. Your file will be waiting at a printer ready for release.

NOTE:  MyPrint files will be available for 24 hours, or until you print or delete them.

How to Print multiple PDF pages per sheet
  1. Log on to a student PC, with your USC username and password.
  2. Open your PDF and select 'File' and then 'Print'.
  3. Select one of the following printer drivers:-
    • Black on wsp-printsvr01
    • Colour on wsp-printsvr01
  4. Under ‘Paper Sizing & Handling’, select ‘Multiple’.
  5. Specify the number of 'Pages per sheet' and 'Page order'.
  6. Click 'Print'.
  7. Your file will be waiting at a printer ready for release.

NOTE:  MyPrint files will be available for 24 hours, or until you print or delete them.

How to Print PowerPoints with dark backgrounds
Option 1: Prints white text on black background
  1. Ensure print driver is set to ‘Black on wsp-printsvr01’
  2. Change to ‘Color’ in the bottom PowerPoint option
  3. Click on Print

NOTE: PowerPoint will print in black and white and charge black and white pricing.

Option 2: Prints black text on white back ground

Save the PowerPoint as a PDF – in 'Pure Black and white'

  1. Change Printer to ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’
  2. Change to ‘Pure Black and white’ in the bottom PowerPoint option
  3. Click on Print
  4. Type in a File Name and choose a location to save the PDF

Print the PDF created using above 4 steps

  1. Open the PDF and select Print
  2. Ensure print driver is set to ‘Black on wsp-printsvr01’
  3. Click on Print

NOTE: PowerPoint will print in black and white and charge black and white pricing.

Option 3: Print in colour
  1. Ensure print driver is set to ‘Colour on wsp-printsvr01’
  2. Change to ‘Color’ in the bottom PowerPoint option
  3. Click on Print

NOTE: PowerPoint will print in colour and charge colour pricing.

How to Print in Colour using inDesign
  1. Open your Adobe InDesign file.
  2. Select ‘File’ and then ‘Print’.
  3. Use the drop-down menu to select the colour printer — Colour (on wsp-printsvr01).
  4. On the left hand side of the print dialog box, click on ‘Output’.
  5. Use the drop down menu to adjust the colour output to ‘Composite RGB’.
  6. Click ‘Print’.
  7. Your file will be waiting at a printer ready for release.

NOTE: If you do not change the colour output as explained above, your document will be printed in black and white from the colour machine and you will be charged the normal colour price - .60c per A4 page.

How to Create your 4 digit PIN
At a self-serve printer:
  1. Enter your ID Number.
  2. When prompted to enter your new PIN, create your own 4 digit number then press Ok. You will be prompted to enter your 4 digit PIN again to confirm it, then press Ok.
  3. Your PIN is now set. You will use this PIN every time you want to print or photocopy.
How to Change your 4 digit PIN
At a self-serve printer:
  1. Login with your ID Number and 4 digit PIN.
  2. Click on Change PIN.
  3. Enter your Current PIN and click Ok.
  4. Enter your New PIN and click Ok.
  5. Re-enter your New PIN and click Ok. Your new PIN is now set.

Note: If you have forgotten your 4 digit PIN, you will need to follow the steps below to change your PIN online.
