Share your opinion | Body functionality and social media study
24 Jun 2021
The purpose of this research project is to extend the currently limited research within the body image field by investigating how women respond to different representations of body functionality imagery and captions on social media platforms, such as Instagram.
In conjunction with Dr Kate Mulgrew, we invite women aged 18-35 years of age to participate in a brief (15-20 minute) anonymous online study that aims to investigate how women respond to body functionality content on social media.
Participation in this study is voluntary. To help you decide whether you would like to take part, when you click on the Research Project Information Sheet link below you will be greeted with an information page that provides an overview of the study and what it entails. You may take as long as you need to view this page to decide whether you would like to partake in this study.
Participants can drop out at any time during this study. However, due to the anonymous online survey format of this study, once you have submitted your responses and have completed the survey, your answers cannot be taken out of the study, as no identifiable information was collected to indicate your responses.
The collected data will remain anonymous.
