The VC Congratulates Kate Robertson on her TEFMA Research Scholarship
25 Jan 2021
The TEFMA Research Scholarship provides an opportunity each year for an employee working in facilities management, in a TEFMA Member institution, to undertake a study tour of other Australasian institutions.
Kate was awarded the scholarship to research how universities can take the experience of "emptying" campuses (as a result of COVID-19) to redefine their place in the student experience, improve utilisation and productivity, and create new spaces for staff and student collaboration.
Campuses and their facilities will be a part of the tertiary education landscape for a long time to come. Kate wants to see if this is an opportunity to transform USC's spaces and how they can be used, with the aim to become more resilient in the future.
The findings will be published in the TEFMA newsletter, on the website, and may be presented at the annual Tertiary Education Management Conference or via the TEFMA Webinar Series.
The scholarship is worth $5,000.
