Workplace Safety

USC is committed to the health, safety and well-being of all staff, students, visitors, volunteers and contractors.

Contractor management

USC is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for contractors engaged to work at, or for USC. The contractor management information will assist contractors and USC staff engaging their services, to provide, monitor and maintain a safe work environment and fulfil their health and safety obligations.

Safe work environments

The University will provide, monitor and maintain a safe environment for work. To assist in the maintenance of a safe work environment, guidelines and supporting documents have been provided to ensure the ongoing health and safety of all at USC. The links below will provide you with guidelines, supporting documents and resources to assist in the provision and maintenance of safe working environments:

Event safety

To ensure USC provides a safe and healthy environment, any individual or group organising an event (of any nature or size), on any USC campus, must complete an event risk assessment. Two checklists has been developed, HSW Campus Event Checklist and AMS Campus Event Checklist to ensure that controls are in place to eliminate or minimise risks at an event.
