Over the weekend intensive course aimed anyone over the age of 15 who is interested in gaming. Participants will learn about:
- game design theory;
- learn some introductory game development tools including Twine (for interactive narrative) and Construct 2 (for making 2D games);
- introduced to concepts associated with developing 2D game art;
- making their own game under the mentoring from USC game development staff.
Participants can make computer games or board/card games in either a group or individually. Use of USC’s computers is welcome or participants can bring their own.
No previous knowledge is required. However, if participants do have previous knowledge, USC staff will be on-hand to mentor anyone who wish to extend their existing skills.
The event is free and catering is provided.
