Choosing which career path to follow can be a difficult decision for a teenager to make. For parents Bruce and Julia, their one piece of advice to their children, Yani and Mia, was to keep an open mind and do their research.

They encouraged them to explore their options to see what opportunities and different degrees there were to choose from and reminded them that it is great to have a direction, but it’s also okay to change course. Fast forward a couple of years and both Yani and Mia have now graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Arts, respectively.

USC Parent Lounge sat down with Yani and Mia’s parents earlier this year to talk about their perspective on the USC experience and what advice they have for other parents.
