As part of our ongoing commitment to our communities, USC is proud to present Solar Nights — an ethereal, interactive light trail for the whole community to enjoy.
Running for 10 nights from December 14-23 at USC Sunshine Coast, the event aims to captivate, inspire and entertain people of all ages.
Solar Nights celebrates our partnership with Veolia to install 6000 solar panels and eventually a water battery at no cost to the University. The system will cut energy use at our Sunshine Coast campus by 40 percent - a first for an Australian university.
The displays have been designed and built by our own USC staff.
USC has also sponsored a series of community Christmas events from the Fraser Coast to Moreton Bay:
- Caboolture Christmas Carols, 25 November
- North Lakes Christmas Carols, 2 December
- Maryborough Carols in the Park, 9 December
- Gympie Christmas in the Park, 9 December
- Hervey Bay Carols by Candlelight, 15 December
USC values being part of the communities that support us and we hope you can make it along to Solar Nights or a community Christmas event in your region.
