Student numbers on the rise at USC Gympie
17 Jul 2018
USC will welcome about 90 new students to its Gympie campus tomorrow with a Semester 2 Orientation program filled with social and academic activities to introduce them to university life.
The students have enrolled mid-year in a range of USC study programs, including degrees in Nursing Science, Business and Education.
Live music, market stalls and games are the not-so-serious side of a packed Orientation day designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to prepare for Semester 2, which begins next week.
Media are invited to attend Orientation, starting at 10am with the official opening. A group photo of the commencing students will be taken at 11.15am.
On Thursday, the students will take part in workshops on IT, research fundamentals, academic writing and strategies to enhance their learning.
The additional students will take the total number currently enrolled at USC Gympie to more than 260.
