High school students get Headstart at USC

High school students who are champing at the bit to get into their university studies ahead of time are encouraged to attend a special information session at the University of the Sunshine Coast on Wednesday 9 September from 6pm.

USC’s Headstart program is a transition program that offers Year 11 and 12 students the chance to study USC subjects while still at high school.

The program also offers guaranteed entry into USC if the student completes two subjects successfully within the Headstart program.

High school students and their parents are encouraged to attend the information session at USC’s Sippy Downs campus to hear about the application process, eligibility, costs, what courses are on offer and what to expect.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with USC staff, talk to Headstart students about their experiences, and learn more about the courses available through the program.

To attend the information session, register at: www.usc.edu.au/headstart

Siena Catholic College Year 12 Student Dana Larkin is currently enjoying her Headstart experience at USC and is looking forward to starting university next year. Dana’s profile is at: www.usc.edu.au/dana-larkin

A similar Headstart information event will be held at USC’s Gympie campus on Tuesday 8 September from 5.30pm-6.30pm. Details for this event are at www.usc.edu.au/headstart-gympie
